Today, Huawei released the first Data Center switch in the industry, built based artificial intelligence (AI) era named as, Cloud Engine 16800. This new switch by Huawei has the capability to evolve into an independent network and innovative integration of artificial intelligence technologies. The widespread use of artificial intelligence helps customers accelerate smart transformation.

According to Huawei's Global Industry Overview (GIV) 2025, AI acceptance rate will increase from 16% in 2015 to 86% by 2025. The ability to use AI to reformulate business models, decisions and improve the customer experience will be one determinant factor responsible for the growth of the global AI market.

Kevin Hu, chairman of the Huawei Network Product Line, said, “A fully connected intelligence world will soon exist. Some of the supplementary Data centers are the nucleus of the new infrastructure such as 5G and AI." First, Huawei will introduce artificial intelligence technology for data center, driving from cloud-era to AI.”

With the advent of the AI era is AI computing influenced by the performance of data center networks, which are a major bottleneck in the AI business. In a traditional Ethernet network, the power of data centers of AI cannot reach 50% due to no packet loss rate. At the same time, the industry anticipates that the annual volume of data across the globe ranges to 180 zettabytes by 2025 from 10 zettabytes in 2018. Existing networks of 100GE data centers will not be able to handle the projected data flow. In addition, O&M traditional manual methods do not meet the requirements, as the number of data center servers continues to develop and unite the computer, network storage, and data network. Therefore, it is essential that innovative technologies should be developed and launched to improve the smart capacity of O&M.
